The State Fair.

Hello all,

Well it’s officially August, which means 3 things… 1.) It’s my birthday month! πŸŽ‰ 2.) It’s generally blazing hot outside this time of year and 3.) Ths State Fair has arrived.

Yes, today is the grand opening day of Indiana’s State Fair. Now to be honest I never ventured to the state fair until I met my bf Nick, I always just stuck to the tiny county fairs, but I look forward to our state fair every year now.

So for today I thought I’d share a photo from the fair last year.

I don’t know about you, but when I hear the word “fair” I instantly think of food…please tell me thats not just me. I remember the deep fried oreo craze we had here. This year 2 items that have stood out to me are the caramel apple elephant ears and the deep fried sugar creme pie. I’ll have to try them out once I go and report back!

A question I have for you all, is what kind of oddball foods do you guys have at your fair? I’d love to hear!

Thanks for reading and happy Friday!

Coffee Travels.

Hello all,

Nick and I just returned home from a mini vacation we took to St.Louis. We had an amazing time! 😊 One of my new goals for everytime we travel is to find an amazing coffee shop wherever we go. Hmm? Possibly a new series? We came across Blueprint Coffee located on the Delmar Loop and can I just say the place was phenominal! I loved the menu and the atmosphere. It is a great place to relax and enjoy some delicious coffee. If you’re ever in the area I highly suggest you check it out!

A Photo for Your Day.

Hello,

20180419_174024887067642561390166.jpg

Recently I was working a photo gig downtown and stumbled across some broken up road, now honestly this isn’t much of a shock for right now, seeing as how the roads here have been pothole hell due to the terrible winter, but as I walked across the debris, I looked down and saw bricks below the surface. It was really neat to get to see this tiny bit of history just lying underneath the city. I complain about potholes, but I’m sure brick roads were a lot bumpier back in the day! πŸ˜€

I hope you all enjoyed this post, thanks for reading!

A Photo for Your Day.

Hello and good morning,

img_20180414_082016_9239068022598072866508.jpg

This photo may seem very simple or average to some, but as I lied in bed on this rainy Saturday morning I looked over and watched the cool breeze push and pull our bedroom curtain open and close and let glimpses of sunlight spill into the bedroom. I love admiring the little things in life that sometimes go unnoticed.Β To me this was a beautiful sign of Spring here in Indiana….finally.

I hope you all enjoyed this post! What is a sign of Spring to you? I’d love to hear.

Thank you so much for reading!

Today is April 1st…and it is snowing here in Indiana. I cant tell if this is a sign for a calm summer or a terribly hot one…only time will tell! Got to love the always unpredictable Indiana weather. What is the weather like where you are at?

By the way, happy Easter to everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful day! 😊

Hot Cocoa Recipe.

Hello,

Today I wanted to share my hot cocoa recipe that I perfected for this winter. Hot cocoa is one of my favorite parts about the winter season! I’ve been working on and tweaking this recipe and I think I finally found the perfect cup for both Nick and I. He loves when I surprise him with a mug full. I will never make hot cocoa without milk again! As a kid I always made it with water, but using milk makes it so creamy and rich, it’s delicious! πŸ™‚
